Whether you’re a first-time buyer, move-up buyer or looking to downsize without sacrificing features, you’ll enjoy strolling through each model home’s magazine-quality spaces.

Participating models by Chesmar Homes, Coventry Homes, David Weekley Homes, Drees Custom Homes, Highland Homes and Perry Homes feature gourmet island kitchens, spacious family rooms and inviting Owners Suites. Models also feature state-of-the-art media rooms, fun-packed game rooms, flex spaces ideal for working remotely, outdoor entertaining spaces, secluded wine grottos and private studies.

Plus, each model will offer complimentary treats to sweeten the experience.

Prior to touring Cane Island’s showcase models, visit the community’s Cane Quarter Welcome Center, 2100 Cane Island Parkway, to pick up a punch card which, when completed by touring seven models, will ensure entry for a $100 TopGolf gift card or a $100 Home Run Dugout gift card.   • Cane Island Hosts March 25 Spring Fling Carnival & Home Tours

    The Katy community of Cane Island will host its Spring Fling Carnival & Home Tours on Saturday, March 25 from 1-3 p.m. when the community’s Cane Quarter amenity village is transformed into a fun, carnival-like atmosphere complete with games, craft and food vendors.

    Try your skills at Nerf gun target, lazer tag, a putting station, bean bag toss, a rock climbing wall, and so much more! After you try your hand at all the fun games, browse from among the dozens of craft vendors presenting fun clothing, unique gift finds and items for the home. Several food vendors, with items available for purchase, also will on hand.  

    Admission to the afternoon of fun and games is free and open to the public.  All carnival games also are free. Cane Quarter is located at 2100 Cane Island Parkway.  Complimentary onsite parking is available.

    Just down the street from Cane Quarter, families can tour Cane Island’s collection of new model homes, each fully furnished and expertly decorated. Attendees are welcome and encouraged to visit the Cane Quarter Welcome Center for a list of move-in ready homes available for touring.

    Move-in ready homes boast chef-inspired island kitchens, large family rooms, inviting Owner’s Suites, flexible home-office spaces, media rooms, game rooms and outdoor entertaining spaces.  Plus, Cane Island homesites start at 50 feet in width providing families ample open space.

    An initial earnest money contract must be signed between March 1, 2023 – April 30, 2023 and close by May 31, 2023 to be eligible for the savings for a completed inventory home. Or buyers can close up to 30 days after completion of a planned inventory home.

    2022 was another milestone year for Cane Island as the premier Katy community of new homes opened a sparkling new onsite elementary and a sprawling new model home park amidst new, move-in ready homes by acclaimed Houston builders.

    After much anticipation, Cane Island’s new onsite Robertson Elementary opened for the 2022 - 2023 school year. Part of the outstanding Katy Independent School District, Robertson Elementary offers spacious classrooms, collaborative learning spaces, and leading-edge teaching technologies.

    As for Katy ISD, it once again was named #1 Public School District in the Houston area, earning an A+ overall grade according to the Best School Districts list compiled by Niche.com.   

    Given Katy’s ISD’s sterling reputation, it’s no surprise to hear Cane Island residents cite “quality of schools” as one of the key reasons they selected the community.

    2022 also brought the opening of Cane Island’s model home park, twelve new fully furnished showcases situated on cul-de-sac settings where visitors can park and walk from model to model. Two other models, both expertly decorated, are open throughout the community. All model homes are open daily.

    More than 50 outdoor vendors will set up shop for one of west Houston’s most popular single-day holiday shopping events, Candy Cane Market with the Katy Moms Network, on Saturday, December 3 in Katy’s Cane Island.

    Candy Cane Market is open 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the community’s Cane Quarter amenity village, 2100 Cane Island Parkway, where local vendors will present handcrafted jewelry, custom clothing and accessories, fun items for the home and other unique finds.  Admission and onsite parking is free.

    While at Candy Cane Market, families can take pictures with Santa, enjoy face painting, food truck cuisine and more!

    The community’s collection of new showcase model homes, each fully furnished and expertly decorated, also will be open to the public with free admission.

    Cane Island will host its annual Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat, free and open to the public on Saturday, October 22 from 2-6 p.m., when the Katy community of new homes celebrates the best of fall fun with Halloween candy, children’s activities and local vendors.

    Cane Island’s Cane Quarter will be dotted with themed, decked-out cars and golf carts offering Halloween candy and other surprises for children presented in Trunk or Treat style. Families also will enjoy pumpkin painting, a caramel apple-making station, giant corn maze and petting zoo, among a host of other free activities. Children can wear their Halloween costumes or they can come dressed as they are.

    While at the Fall Festival, moms and dads can browse from among local vendors for fun gift ideas, apparel and unique items for the home.

    Cane Island’s new model homes, each fully furnished and expertly decorated, also will be open throughout the day.

    Katy’s Cane Island will host the return of its popular End of Summer Bash on Saturday, August 13 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. when the community’s Cane Quarter is filled with children’s activities, gourmet food trucks, shopping finds from local vendors and spirited performances by the cheer squads of Katy Junior High and Katy High School.

    Cane Quarter is located at 2100 Cane Island Parkway, just past the community’s main entrance and signature Living Arches. The event is open to the public. Admission is free with ample onsite parking available.

    Families will enjoy bounce houses and face painting, food trucks, Chick-fil-A and the Tiff’s Treats cookie truck. Plus, several local vendors will join Kendra Scott in presenting a variety of fun shopping finds. The community’s showcase model homes, each fully furnished and expertly decorated, also will be open for public tours.

    Cane Island’s End of Summer Bash comes just days before the opening of the community’s new onsite Robertson Elementary, situated within walking distance of Cane Island neighborhoods. Robertson Elementary PTA and staff will be in attendance to discuss the new Katy ISD school.

Fun fact: the city of Katy was even named after the MKT Rail line. This playground is also the state’s largest innovative playground for multiple-impaired and profoundly deaf children. The Katy Play Station has received several awards for its design and contribution to the community. There are sports facilities perfect for outdoor games or hosting tournaments; however, reservations are required for use.

This stunning 32-acre park in Katy is top-rated due to the sheer number of things for children to do, from putting around the mini-golf course to traversing the playground to feeding the ducks and fish in the fishing pond.

    From dawn to dusk, canines of all sizes howl with excitement at the City of Katy Off-Leash Dog Park. This popular 7-acre dog park opened in March of 2007 with plenty of trees and grass to keep your pup comfortable. The wading pool will be like taking your four-legged friend to the water park. This dog park is divided into two parts for small and large breed dogs to ease every dog owner’s mind so you can worry less and play more!

    VFW Park

    Many may not think of VFW Park when thinking of parks for children. However, this wooded park features a large pyramid rope climber within its exciting children’s playground. You can make a fun afternoon outing to VFW Park with the picnic tables. You can also rent the picnic pavilions for your next event or enjoy events put on at VFW Park.

    Malcolm E. Beckendorff Family Park

    While Malcolm E. Beckendorff Family Park is smaller than many parks at just over 2-acres, it offers a safe place for children to play with less foot traffic. The trail surrounding the park is a convenient way for you to get some exercise by walking or jogging as your child(ren) burns energy on the playground.

    Willow Fork Park

    In 2016 to promote student activity and activity for the greater community, Willow Fork Park was opened as a collaboration between Willow Fork Drainage District and Katy ISD. On 32-acres, you’ll discover over 15 species of trees, more than 60 plants of 25 different species, and six different species of prairie grasses. This park is perfect for children and families to get outside while offering a unique opportunity to learn to identify the different trees and plants with this downloadable map.

    Exploration Park

    Since opening in 2015, Exploration Park has been an immersive public playground that supports learning while playing. The park was designed to encourage environmental stewardship and educational principles, with its overall theme inspired by water. Exploration Park’s unique play area features a raindrop berm lawn, swings, a musical bridge, a sensory garden, and a slide tower and bridge that connects to a hill slide.

    Terry Hershey Park

    Named for Terry Hershey, a conservationist who campaigned for the banks of Buffalo Bayou not to be paved, Terry Hershey Park spans 500 acres along the banks of Buffalo Bayou and South Mayde Creek. This park is perfect for families who want to spend time outdoors with a relaxing hike, cruising the bike trails, and walking without traveling outside the city. The Kid Fit Park is for children who need more of a physical challenge and includes equipment such as a rock wall, vertical bars, parallel bars, rope climb, overhead ladder, and more.

    George Bush Park

    George Bush Park is a 7,800-acre park named in honor of the 41st president George H.W. Bush. This popular attraction and nature reserve offers plenty of activities that you can do with your children or family dog. Many of the trails in this park follow the ever-popular Buffalo Bayou, while other trails are surrounded by swamps and forests. You’ll get the impression of being far away from it all without leaving Houston.

    Paperback Park in Cane Island

    Paperback Park in Cane Island is the newest edition to playgrounds and parks in Katy, TX. You can bring the family to pick out a new book at one of the small book sharing units that were installed by the Little Free Library or skip a trip to the water park to let the kids splish-splash in the Splash Pad. This park offers a variety of things to do that appeals to all ages.

    Cane Island will host the return of its popular Spring Fling on Saturday, April 2 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. when the community’s Cane Quarter presents springtime favorites including photos with the Easter Bunny, a petting zoo, Easter Egg Hunt and scores of other free activities.

    Get your cameras ready for Instagram-worthy photos with the Easter Bunny, cozy up next to fluffy animals in a children’s petting zoo, and enjoy kid’s crafts sponsored by Mason McDonald of Allstate.  Food truck cuisine from Daranne’s Soul Rolls & Eats and Snow and Spoon will be available for purchase.

    While at Spring Fling, don’t miss the fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by The Adolph Group, at noon on the Cane Quarter lawn. Children five and under will get a head start to ensure they gather their fair share of eggs.

    Andretti Karting & Games and Le Chloe Med Spa also will be on hand with fun giveaway items.

    Admission to Cane Island’s Spring Fling is free and onsite parking is available.  The community’s Cane Quarter is located at 2100 Cane Island Parkway.

Vision Screenings with Eyediology Eye Care

Our Eyediology team will be performing free vision screenings for the residents of Cane Island on Saturday August 6th from 3pm-6pm in the Retreat space. The vision screening will consist of a brief exam that looks for potential vision problems with visual acuity testing and testing that detects misalignment of the eyes. No appointment needed-walk ins welcome! 

If the doctors at the screening see any issues, they will recommend an appointment for a comprehensive eye exam if necessary.
