The Estates at Cane Island Adds Cason Graye Homes to Custom Builder Lineup

The Estates at Cane Island, the Katy community’s gated enclave of exclusive estate homes, has added the award-winning Cason Graye Homes to its collection of preferred custom homebuilders.

Named Houston’s Best Custom Builder in 2019 at the Greater Houston Builders Association PRISM Awards, Cason Graye Homes has completed more than 150 custom homes in Katy, West Memorial, Villages of Memorial, West University, Bellaire and other top-selling areas of town.

“Whenever we had a project in the Katy area, I always made it a point to drive through Cane Island,” recalls Bryan Phillips, president of Cason Graye Homes.  “What always stood out to me was the quality of the amenities, the landscaping, the hardscape and all the things that make the difference in a community.  That’s why we want to build there.”

Cason Graye Homes has initiated the design phase of its first custom home in The Estates at Cane Island, Phillips adds.  Construction is expected to commence at the beginning of 2021.

Founded in 2004, Cason Graye Homes offers a curated customer experience with talented architects, trade partners, construction personnel and an in-house interior designer.  A green certified professional builder, Cason Graye Homes performs a green audit on every home it builds to ensure it exceeds the average HERS Index rating, a scoring tool used to measure a home’s energy efficiency.   The company also is a member of the Builder 20 Club, a specialized organization sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders formed to shape solutions to improve the quality of the home construction industry.

A limited number of acreage homesites remain The Estates at Cane Island, according to Beth Naef, Cane Island’s custom home sales manager.  Buyers can choose from properties up to three-quarters of an acre with dramatic, lakefront views or lush, forested surroundings. 

“The size of these properties provides buyers with a great deal of flexibility when it comes to designing their home,” says Naef. “Plus, lot owners can build now or build later to allow for maximum flexibility.”

The Estates at Cane Island also offers new custom homes by Jeff Paul Custom Homes and William David Custom Homes. 

To reach The Estates at Cane Island, take the Cane Island Parkway exit off Interstate 10 minutes west of the Grand Parkway.  Head north on Cane Island Parkway and take the roadway into Cane Island, then left on Franz Road.
