Realtor Wanda Baptista Wins $5,000 Cane Island Cash Prize

West Houston Realtor Wanda Baptista of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene – Memorial has an extra $5,000 in spending money thanks to selling three new homes in Katy’s Cane Island during the first four months of 2020.

The cash bonus was awarded to Baptista as part of Cane Island’s campaign touting the “more” of the award-winning community of new homes.

“I only sell in communities I would consider for myself,” says Baptista, who has logged more than 30 years in real estate.  “When it comes to Cane Island, my buyers all echo the same sentiment – they love its sense of community, security and tranquility.  Yes, you really get more here.”

All three buyers were corporate relocations moving to the area for jobs in the nearby Energy Corridor.

“While touring Cane Island with one of the buyers, we visited in The Oaks Kitchen & Bar, the community’s onsite restaurant, and they just loved the ambience, from moms enjoying lunch to kids playing on the lawn,” she adds. 

Cane Island features new homes by acclaimed builders, resort-style amenities, Katy ISD schools, proximity to major west Houston employers, immediate I-10 access and abundance of nearby shopping, dining and entertainment. Plus, a full-time onsite Lifestyle Director plans movie nights, outdoor concerts, seasonal shopping events and other community gatherings.
