Community Events Bring Out The Best In Cane Island

Cane Island’s popular summer concert series, open to the public, wraps up Saturday, August 3 with the live music sounds of the Mickey Hobbs Trio.  Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome or families can enjoy the live music sounds from The Oaks Kitchen & Bar just steps from the performance stage.

In November, the Ballard House Festival of Trees returns to Cane Island with a spectacular collection of uniquely decorated holiday trees and wreaths, entertainment, gift boutiques, food trucks and Santa – all benefiting the Ballard House’s mission of providing housing for patients undergoing treatment for critical illnesses.

As the holidays draw closer, Candy Cane Market with the Real Craftwives of Katy returns with more than 60 local vendors presenting holiday gift finds along with live music, food trucks, life-sized snow globe and photos with Santa.

The new year brings the return of the popular Cane Island Car Show, a stand out collection of vintage roadsters and hot rods, along with fun runs and walks benefitting worthwhile causes, resident dinner clubs, gardening workshops and more as planned by the community’s full-time on-site Lifestyle Coordinator.
