The moment you arrive in Cane Island, you realize this is a community unlike any other.
That’s because beauty is always in bloom, as evidenced by the main Entrance Experience feature – a series of spectacular arches resplendent in the bounty of seasonal charm as they change colors for seasons and special occasions. These amazing steel sculptures have hundreds of glass leaves and thousands of programmable LED lights. A motion sensor activates the show as a car approaches, and its planter boxes allow for native Texas vines to grow and intertwine through the sculptures.
Your ¼ mile trek into the heart of the community leads you past a 50-year old iconic oak tree, down a shaded road and past a sparkling 3-acre lake with seven 30-foot-tall fountains. Continuing under a canopy of oak trees, you’re greeted by a myriad of elk and deer neighbors along the fence line as you approach the Living Arches.
When the Katy Tigers win, look for the fountains and the arches to hail the team with hues of red. Traditional holiday colors will also be displayed. Coming or going, the Living Entrance stands as a daily reminder that life in Cane Island is truly something special.
